Jeffreys eyes Bermuda after best win of career

IT WAS a dominant day for Guernsey runners as Colin Jeffreys recorded an impressive victory in the traditional Father’s Day Half Marathon.
On the coastal course the runners had the benefit of a strong breeze all the way up the west coast, before facing tougher conditions in the final quarter of the event.
And it was ultimately Jeffreys who dealt with those the best, as he left behind fellow Sarnians Matt Dorrian and Luke Walton, who finished second and third respectively.
Indeed, for the first nine miles or so, the trio were level, before Jeffreys opened up an ultimately unassailable lead along L’Ancresse and eventually winning by a significant distance.
