No surprise that Frith comes to the rescue

THE Cenkos tent were waving their ‘IV’ cards and cheering at last.
It had been a worrying day for the Centurions but in times of crisis on a cricket field, class invariably tells and the yellows have the classiest local of them all in Jeremy Frith.
Frith’s match-winning half-century condemned Mourant Ozannes to their second defeat only of the GPL and, in so doing, just about kept alive their own hopes of winning the inaugural tournament.
The Centurions looked the team to beat after week one of the month-long event but week two was not so kind to them and they arrived at their final qualifying game knowing nothing less than victory would do.
