Debt-ridden businessman is given one final chance

THE latest attempt to get debt-ridden businessman Howard Holland disqualified from being a director of any local company was adjourned yesterday.
In June 2007, the restaurateur was banned from holding any company directorship in Northern Ireland for seven years.
The Commerce and Employment Department’s application to have a similar ban imposed in Guernsey came back before the Ordinary Division of the Royal Court yesterday.
AFR partner Advocate Paul Richardson told the court that since Mr Holland left the island communication with him had ceased and he had not replied to messages.
Bailiff Sir Geoffrey Rowland said that it made sense to make one more effort to try and contact Mr Holland.
