THE Guernsey Sea Anglers’ Club’s boat season has just got under way with the juniors being the first to try their luck.

A presentation was made before the boat set sail to young Bradley Smith, who was awarded the Harold J. Till Cup for the heaviest bass caught in the 2010 season, as he had not been able to attend the annual presentation dinner.

Seven juniors accompanied by three senior helps went out of ‘Out of the Blue’ skippered by Richard Seager, who decided to try St Martin’s point first because of the windy conditions.

There were plenty of fish marking on the sounder at their arrival, so it was only a matter of catching them.
