Opinion divided among Castel residents over their ‘PC Sexy’

Les Genats Estate resident Margaret Hickman described PC Vahey’s behaviour as dreadful. ‘It’s a shock someone with his authority would behave like that.’
But others branded his behaviour ‘dreadful’, saying he should not return.
PC Vahey admitted during court proceedings to sending sexual messages to an unnamed 20-year-old single mother via text and Facebook and touching her breast on one occasion during a visit to her home while on duty.
The policeman – dubbed ‘PC Sexy’ by the woman and her friend – was cleared of indecent assault.
However, DCI Peter Dowding said on Monday that disciplinary action against PC Vahey was now being considered.
