Heather Watson’s campaign in the 2011 Wimbledon singles competition came to an end this afternoon, but not before she gave her opponent a challenging match despite an injury.
After taking the first set 2-6, she lost the next two 6-4, 6-4 to French player and world number 62 Mathilde Johnansson.
The Guernsey girl apparently suffered an elbow injury mid-way through the second set.
