Driver’s unsignalled turn kills young motorcyclist
Thursday 23rd June 2011, 2:29PM BST.
AN INQUEST concluded yesterday into the death of a motorcyclist who was fatally injured in an accident in Spain more than five years ago.
Daniel Bougourd, 18, died at the Vega Baja Hospital, Alicante, at about 12.40pm on 10 April 2006.
An inquest opened in Guernsey 10 days later. Inspector Richard Medhurst said the significant delay in closing the proceedings had resulted from the time it had taken for the matter to conclude in the Spanish courts.
Mr Bougourd’s family had been involved throughout.
Judge Philip Robey delivered a verdict of accidental death.
