Knee-op builder sues doctors for £2.3m.

Wheeler Developments director Richard Ridout is suing consultant orthopaedic surgeon Ranjan Vhadra and anaesthetist Martin Wolfe.

THE owner of a building firm is demanding almost £2.3m. in compensation from a surgeon and anaesthetist he claims mistreated him.

Wheeler Developments Ltd director Richard Ridout, 64, is suing consultant orthopaedic surgeon Ranjan Vhadra and anaesthetist Martin Wolfe for what he claimed were severe complications – including a heart attack – following an operation to ‘wash out’ his right knee.

Both Mr Vhadra and Mr Wolfe dispute the allegations and will fight them in court – a trial date has been set for October.
