IS THIS 2003 all over again?

Guernsey racing away at the top of the medals table and the Rhodes football team back to their old antics.

If day one was remarkably successful for the Sarnians, day two was incredible, with seven more golds arriving.

As the swimming competition opened, Guernsey announced themselves with six golds, Ian Powell and Kristina Neves, just 14, claimed two apiece.

Up on the downs and in the middle of the island, Rob Smart led a 1-2-3 for the men’s mountain bikers.

And down at the running track, Kylie Robilliard’s career reached a new pinnacle with a championship best performance and new island record in the 100m.
