THE family of a 48-year-old man found dead at the weekend have been informed, police have confirmed.
But his identity will not be released until a formal identification procedure has been carried out.
DCI Ruari Hardy, who attended the scene on Sunday, said police were continuing their investigation after the man’s body was found in Park Lane, St Peter Port, in the early hours of the morning.
He confirmed that a UK Home Office pathologist travelled to the island and assisted with the investigation.
‘A formal report is still awaited following the examination; however, the death is not being treated as suspicious,’ he said.
