Rebranding aims to attract technology firms to Saltpans

Long Port's Mark OgierA NAME change for the Guernsey Data Park from the Guernsey Technology Park better reflects the type of companies that will use the Saltpans site, according to the Long Port Group.

The proposed park was launched under its former name in March last year, but it has recently been rebranded.

Long Port senior development manager Mark Ogier (pictured) said it was simply a case of making it absolutely clear what the park was for.

‘Technology can mean so many different things so we have taken the opportunity to rename it as a data park.

‘It means the park has a much clearer strategy and identity.’

    This will be the same ‘Data Park’ that needs a new junction and traffic lights on Route Militaire for HGVs. How big a lorry is needed for data!
