Charities welcome £25m. mental health proposal

NEW mental health facilities would make a huge difference, say two local charities.

Health and Social Services is proposing a £25m. development at the Princess Elizabeth Hospital to replace the island’s outdated provision.

Emily Litten from Guernsey Mind and Joyce Gaskin of the GSF Mental Health Fellowship have welcomed the plans, unveiled earlier this week after more than two decades of discussion.

However some concerns have also been raised.
