TEAMS from Cambridge, Jersey and France will join crews from Guernsey to compete in next weekend’s Sure Herm Rowing Regatta.

The three-day event, which starts Friday, will see Sam de Kooker return home from university with a mixed doubles and a mixed four team. Both crews have competed in the British University and College Sports (BUCS) Regatta and the Royal Henley Regatta.

In addition, there will also be crews from Jersey.

‘We’re delighted that so many people have entered and it’s fantastic to see new teams coming over to the island to take part in what is a challenging, but very enjoyable weekend,’ said Guernsey Rowing Club captain Matthew Toussaint.
