JUDGING the bonny baby competition at the Vale Church fete was a tough task for the two women with the role.

More than 50 children entered the event, which saw four different age groups fight for titles.

Katey Collenette and mother-in-law Liz were in charge of picking the winners and said there had been difficult decisions to make.

‘They were all so gorgeous, especially the older class because so many of them were interacting and telling us about their schools and friends,’ said Katey.

‘We looked for cheeky smiles, interaction and eye contact.’
