‘National’ week still thrills

GEOFF GUILLE is the island’s most experienced British Hill Climb Championship driver still racing.

And even at the age of 65 the figurehead of the talented Guille racing family still gets excited when the championships come to the Channel Islands every July.

This week’s events in Bouley Bay on Thursday, and on Le Val des Terres two days later, will be no different and he travels to the sister isle with very realistic chances of making the top-12 run-offs.

After all, back in May, the veteran OMS CF04 driver posted the fastest time of the day with a 41.03sec.
