Vance keeps faith

MOST of Guernsey’s Island Games silver medallists will be given the chance to represent Guernsey FC in Saturday’s historic inaugural game.
Tony Vance (pictured) has chosen 16 of the Games squad for the Green Lions’ friendly clash against AFC Wimbledon at Foote’s Lane, with goalkeeper Richard Davey the only newcomer to the 17-man matchday squad.
It is a show of faith in the players who trained together in the build-up, as Vance explained.
‘There are a couple of reasons why it is a similar squad to the Games,’ he said.
