ANDY BOUGOURD left the likes of Nick Saunders in his slipstream at yesterday’s Bouley Bay round of the MSA British National Hill Climb Championship.

Bougourd, driving his Condor Ferries Force HC 1585, qualified for both the top-12 run-offs and finished the day with a superb time of 39.32sec.

Saunders and Darren Warwick also made a run-off, the former clocking a day’s best 40.09.

Scott Moran won the day’s first run-off and Wallace Menzies the second.

Guernsey were well represented at the meeting which formed the first part of the annual ‘national’ pilgrimage to the Channel Islands.

Tomorrow, the show arrives at Le Val des Terres hill.
