Mark Le Tissier (pictured), secretary to the new club, says it is a breakthrough plus for the Green Lions, who start life with a prestige friendly tomorrow night against AFC Wimbledon.

‘Spectators will be allowed behind both goals,’ said Le Tissier, the former GFA chairman and one of the driving forces behind GFC.

‘It’s taken a little bit of work and organisation and we think we have achieved it to the satisfaction of the groundsman and Culture and Leisure.’
