TELEVISION gardener Alys Fowler was admiring two school gardens yesterday.
Ms Fowler was in the island for a two-day visit as part of Floral Guernsey Summer Festival Week. Before leaving yesterday she saw Forest and St Andrew’s School gardens.
St Andrew’s students showed her around their no-dig garden, where they grow a wide variety of produce, including tomatoes, potatoes, raspberries, apples and lettuce.
Ms Fowler even got her hands dirty during her visit and did a bit of weeding.
