‘KEEP your dreams high and don’t let anybody get in their way.’

That is the advice from Marcus Gayle as Guernsey FC prepare for their first season in non-league football next month, having lost 6-5 in a thrilling inaugural friendly to AFC Wimbledon last weekend.

Gayle coached the development side the Dons brought to the island and he is a club hero of the original Wimbledon, having played in the Premiership throughout the 1990s.

The Englishman also featured for adopted country Jamaica in the 1998 World Cup, with his most famous club moment when he scored the goal to knock Manchester United out of the FA Cup in 1997.
