THERE were three shore entries in the June Fish of the Month, but it was the one that got away that was the story.
Simon English was fishing at Godine using mackerel as bait, when it was picked up by an undulated ray weighing 13lb 5oz, scoring 68.53% of the Bailiwick record of 19lb 6oz 13dr held by L. R. Le Page caught at Amfroque back in 1970.
English won a case of beer for his catch.
