Planning consent boosts Granville House value but worries some neighbours

Granville House can be developed into a four-bed home and a block of six flats.
SPEEDING drivers and a lack of parking have left some Mount Durand residents worried after planning permission was granted for a residential development at Granville House.
The former pupil-support centre closed two years ago. With permission in place to change the main building into a four-bedroom home and build a block of six flats, the States now plans to sell it.
However the news drew a mixed response from neighbours. Jackie Spicer has lived near the site for 22 years.
‘The thing that bothers me is the parking,’ she said. ‘I don’t think there is enough and it is already difficult.’

A very busy road .and one I would hope they will have parking for all cars who will be using this new build
It is a very huge area of land and I hope it will sit in with the rest of what is along here
and not build too close to the road and have some kind of enhancement in the front of the building.
Very sad to see it not used as a teaching area .
