Total washout…
Thursday 21st July 2011, 2:30PM BST.
GUERNSEY will face five crucial games in four days in their European Division One T20 campaign after both encounters were washed out yesterday.
The unbeaten Sarnians had been due to face Austria and Italy, but rain forced abandonment of every match across both Channel Islands, with the matches to be replayed today.
Although Guernsey are well placed at the top of group A and realistically need two more wins for knockout qualification, all-rounder Lee Savident (pictured) , who missed the opening two wins through illness, admitted it was hard dealing with the delays.
‘I think it was harder for the first game because we were waiting to perhaps play at some point,’ he said.
