GUERNSEY showed both their Jekyll and Hyde sides yesterday but still emerged on top of group A of the ICC European Division One T20 Championship.
However, although an impressive win over a strong Italian outfit followed the surprise defeat to Austria, the Greens still have to win their final pool match with Gibraltar this morning at the College Field to guarantee a semi-final place.
‘Through our result against Austria, we have kept the group interesting,’ admitted Guernsey coach Andy Cornford.
‘But we do keep saying that Twenty20 cricket can be cruel because it can change so quickly.’
