Ross Allen opens the scoring for Guernsey FC
A STUNNING performance saw Ross Allen-inspired Guernsey FC get off the winning mark in style by thrashing a Bristol City under-19 academy side at Foote’s Lane.
Allen’s header opened the scoring for the greens on 38 minutes, before Ryan-Zico Black doubled the lead just before half-time.
Despite a host of changes at the break, the Green Lions kept up the momentum throughout, never looking in any danger, with Dave Rihoy making it three moments after the restart.
Allen made the game safe with a powerful effort, before completing his hat-trick with an impresive finish on 71 minutes.
There was still time for Dom Heaume to make it six via a goalkeeping error and complete one of the Sarnians’ best performances in many a year.

My wife and I took our two boys to last night’s match and what a treat. Not only were Guernsey worth every goal in their 6-0 win, some of the football they played wouldn’t have been out of place in far higher leagues. Couple that with a terrific atmosphere and we’ll be regulars this season!
