Guernsey FC had a full Garenne Stand to shout them on against AFC Wimbledon last weekend. They will be grateful for that support in the vital end-of-season run-in. (Picture by Adrian Miller, 1160258)

GUERNSEY FC will have their home fans urging them over the line should they be pushing for promotion come the end of this Combined Counties League season.

The fixtures for the 2011-12 Division One season have now been released, with the Green Lions being given five successive home games to finish the campaign, all on Saturday afternoons.

That is part of a run of eight home games in their final 10, their final away game being scheduled for as early as mid-February.

GFC players will also be glad to learn that they also avoid playing over Christmas and the New Year, with Guernsey effectively having a three-week winter break.
