Corporate governance essay is medal winner

INDEPENDENT insurance consultant Callum Beaton has been presented with the Morgan Owen medal at the annual Chartered Insurance Institute service awards.
The award is described by the CII as the insurance sector’s most prestigious essay prize and is presented for the best piece entered by a fellow or associate of the institute, which has nearly 100,000 members.
Mr Beaton, who is the principal of Callum Beaton (Insurance Consulting) Ltd and deputy president of the Insurance Institute of Guernsey, won the prize for his essay entitled the impact of corporate governance on the captive insurance sector.
‘I was delighted to win the medal, particularly as it was presented of the CII during the course of a dinner attended by senior members of the local institutes from around the country.’
