Saturday’s It’s a Knockout competition raised money for the Guernsey Cheshire Home and the Guernsey Multiple Sclerosis Society.
NEARLY 300 islanders got covered in foam and soaked with water to raise money for charity at Saturday’s It’s a Knockout competition.
Organisers estimated that between 2,000 and 3,000 people turned up at Saumarez Park to watch 24 teams compete in games inspired by the TV show.
The event raises money for the Guernsey Cheshire Home and the Guernsey Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Chair of the MS Society, and organising committee member, Peter Woodward, said the event was very popular, saying the games appealed to a wide group of people. ‘It is competitive, it is fun and adults can behave like children and at the same time they are raising money for charity.’
