TV’s Dawn in celebrity talent show

Monday 25th July 2011, 2:29PM BST.

TV PERSONALITY Guernsey girl Dawn Porter (pictured) sang the blues in a celebrity talent show to raise money for Save the Children last night.

She sang the Etta James song At Last in the live ITV programme after just a few weeks’ training from her mentor, 14-year-old singer Sophie Plummer.

Writing on her Twitter feed yesterday Ms Porter, 32, said that she was nervous about the performance.

‘So tonight I’m doing the most terrifying thing I’ve ever done but I am pleased to say the nerves are finally turning into excitement.’

She was beaten by Emmerdale actors Tony Audenshaw and Lesley Dunlop, who danced the jive.
