ST SAMPSON’S constables will today explain their U-turn on the junction over the access road to the Guernsey Data Park.

The constables and douzaine initially blocked the company’s request for a bornement to carry out work within nine metres of a road, but without explaining why.

The parish officials were due to explain their objections in Interlocutory Court on Friday, but Guernsey Data Park Ltd’s advocate, Peter Ferbrache, confirmed that the parties had settled the matter by consent.

The creation of an entrance to the new multi-million pound business zone will mean another set of traffic lights on Route Militaire, not far from those with its junction with Braye Road.
