Assurances on safety given to Beaucamps site investigation

AN OFFICIAL investigation into the collapse of a three-tonne floor beam on the Les Beaucamps High construction site has been concluded.

A Commerce and Employment spokesman said that Health and Safety had spoken to the contractor, R. G. Falla, and colleagues in the UK and Northern Ireland.

‘The principal contractor has provided us with documentary evidence which would confirm that they have taken all reasonably practicable steps to ensure that there will be no reoccurrence of this incident.’

R. G. Falla said it was close to completing its own investigation. ‘I should have some answers at the end of the week,’ said managing director Peter Gregory.
