GUERNSEY FC have received another ringing endorsement after Bristol City praised their trip to the island last weekend.

Despite being soundly beaten 6-0 by the Green Lions, who turned in a superb display, City’s assistant academy manager David Horseman was delighted with the experience the trip provided.

‘This was the best training camp I’ve been involved with during my time with the under-18s,’ he said. ‘The training was excellent, facilities very good and the friendly match will benefit our boys no end. The people of Guernsey were fantastic and the boys really appreciated the warm welcome.’

Horseman was also satisfied despite the resounding nature of the result at Foote’s Lane on Saturday night. ‘It was a perfect learning curve in the end,’ he said.
