A THREATENING letter sent in the wake of an Alderney couple’s car being burnt out has been passed to the Guernsey Press in the hope the culprit can be caught.
Andrew and Sarah Millear’s £4,500 Citroen Berlingo had to be written off after a suspected torching by vandals. The vehicle, which was also vandalised 18 months ago, was damaged at St Anne’s School along with another car.
Mrs Millear, who used to work part-time at Bell & Co, said: ‘It was like an inferno – we could not believe it when we saw it.’
Just days after the second incident the Millears received an anonymous letter with a Guernsey stamp, which can be bought in Alderney. It read: ‘Your sports car is next ha ha.’
Nobody has yet been arrested or charged in connection with the incident.

Some people have nothing better to do with their lives, evidently. Set fire to their possessions and see how they like it.
