‘I’ll be a champion inside 18 months’

BOXER Bradley Watson flew back to Guernsey yesterday vowing to be British champion within 18 months despite the Town attack that put him in hospital.
Mr Watson, 20 (pictured), was treated in Southampton for a broken jaw after the incident in the early hours of Saturday morning.
He yesterday rejected suggestions that he would be out for up to two years.
‘This is a minor setback, that’s it. I will still be a British champion in 12 to 18 months,’ he said.
Mr Watson said surgeons had told him that he would be fighting by January.
