THE Royal Guernsey Ladies’ silver division team have produced an outstanding performance to win the Colin Sutton Memorial Trophy at La Moye.

The prestigious trophy is competed for by four clubs – RGGC, Royal Jersey, Les Mielles and La Moye – with each fielding a quartet of players with the best three gross scores to count.

Returning to the course on which she won the Channel Islands women’s title earlier this season, 15-year-old Aimee Ponte led the way for the Sarnian club with a 77, which won her the prize for best individual score on the day.

Teammate Jan Chamberlain was just one stroke further back with Di Aitchison the third to count on 84 and Sue Wellfair carded an 87.
