Seniors regain ‘Marquand’ honours

THE young guns took on more senior members in the Guernsey Sea Anglers Club’s annual Marquand Competition with the format being the top six juniors versus the top six seniors taken from the 2010 championship results.

Unfortunately, due to bad weather in 2010, the competition had to be cancelled on three separate occasions, so it was first time lucky this year with the juniors on a roll after winning the 2008 and 2009 competitions.

It had to be all hands on deck for the seniors as the juniors had a handicap of 50 points before the off.

The seniors took a lot of stick as they stepped onto Out of the Blue, particularly junior secretary John Davey.
