WHEREVER Guernsey FC’s journey takes them this coming season, there is unlikely to be many stranger sights than kick-off at Hartley Wintney on Tuesday night.
As the Green Lions prepared for their away bow in the Combined Counties League, you could have been forgiven you were watching the blue-and-whites of Bels or Rovers.
It was actually Hartley Wintney’s away strip, their side wearing their own orange-and-black home kit.
The incident had occurred after a fellow passenger at Gatwick’s baggage reclaim had somehow confused his own luggage for the GFC kit bag – despite it being approximately three times the size.
