Airport route residents ‘should get their homes surveyed first’

UTILITY officials have played down fears that 28,000 delivery trips for the airport project will ruin the island’s infrastructure.
Questions have again been raised about the potential cost impact on islanders of transporting 350,000 tonnes of aggregate from Longue Hougue to the airport.

‘That way, they would be able to see exactly what damaged is caused,’ he said.
He added that everyone would pick up the cost of any damage to the infrastructure.
