London long-listed Alice hopes it’s good news in April

THE Olympics are only a step away for Alice Loveridge.
The 17-year-old (pictured) has made a selection of eight top women players and in April next year three will be picked to play at the 2012 Games in the team Table Tennis.
‘I’m very happy and pleased to be selected,’ she said yesterday.
‘I’ve been training for it for four years now, so I was hoping to get on it but it was still a surprise because there’s a really a high standard in the UK.’
