George aims for top 10 at Knockhill as pace improves

JOHN GEORGE’S hand injury sustained at Croft in June hampered his weekend at Snetterton as the second half of the British Touring Car Championship season got under way.
The injury did not help George’s gear changes at the Norfolk circuit – the longest of the BTCC tracks at 2.99 miles.
The Guernsey resident also suffered technical problems as his gearbox jammed in the first lap of qualifying, breaking a gear and leaving him to struggle to 21st despite running in the top 15 in free practice.
His GoMobileUK.com Tech-speed team had to work late to fix the problems as pieces of the broken gear had caused a fair amount of damage to the gearbox.
