Plans submitted for further Delancey work

Alex RodgerDETAILED plans for children and teenage play areas and an adult fitness site at Delancey Park have been submitted to the Environment Department.

They form part of the Admiral de Saumarez Trust’s outline proposal to improve the park with help from the community.

Chairman of the board of trustees Alex Rodger (pictured) said subject to approval, the organisation hoped to start work on the areas during the winter, while starting work on the reconstruction of the Admiral de Saumarez monument.

The latter, which already has planning permission, will cost an estimated £500,000.
