JULY turned out to be a good month in terms of Fish of the Month entries.
The first entry came in as early as 3 July from Brendan La Touche. While he was boat fishing on the west coast he landed a fine pollack of 19-10-4, which was judged against the 25-12 record and scored him 76.27%, giving him the junior prize. His chosen bait was sandeel.
A shore entry came in on the 11th from Mohammed Kandili, who caught a black bream of 3-2-13 while fishing with mackerel strip at Castel Cornet. The fish will be judged against the 6-8-6 record.
Kandili scored 48.68%, which definitely wins him the shore tankard.
