A WORLD record holder on a solo flight around the world stopped off in Guernsey yesterday.
CarolAnn Garratt, 56, is making her third solo trip and flies around the globe raising money for and awareness of motor neurone disease because her mother died from the illness.
She landed in Guernsey to give a presentation on motor neurone disease at the Guernsey Aero Club after meeting club member Geoff Jones at an air show in the USA.
Ms Garratt (pictured), from Florida, has been travelling for seven months and flew to Portugal, France, Germany, Austria, Norway, Estonia and all countries of the United Kingdom before arriving in Guernsey.
