Paul Moore, the former head of group regulatory risk at HBOS, will be speaking at the Guernsey Association of Compliance Officers’ (GACO) seminar at the Duke of Richmond on 21 September.

Dubbed by the media as  “The HBOS Whistleblower”, he was the only senior risk and compliance executive in the UK banking sector to speak out publicly in the aftermath of the financial crisis about what he saw from the inside of a bank.

Mr Moore’s talk to the association will look at the story behind the media coverage, the lessons learned and the findings of the global survey conducted of risk managers into the causes and implications of the banking crisis.
