And while Tony Vance (pictured) ponders a major re-jig of his side and test of the squad’s depth due to the unavailability of at least eight players, the good news is that they will get to play on a good surface and one of the top grounds in Division One of the Combined Counties League.

‘Fox Lane is a very nice pitch and is regarded one of the best in the league,’ said Eversley press secretary James Griffin.

‘I’m sure the Guernsey players will be happy with surface.’
