SATURDAY’S absentees have a fight on their hands to regain their places after Tony Vance’s side showed impressive strength in depth to earn their first away victory in the Combined Counties League and go top of the table.

Absentees included skipper Sam Cochrane, club captain Matt Warren, the versatile Angus Mackay, Glyn Dyer, Dave Rihoy, Paul Page and Kieron Mahon, with Joby Bourgaize, Jamie Dodd and Ben Coulter still to make their debuts.

But those who took part on Saturday did their jobs admirably and are likely to leave Vance with a selection headache over the coming weeks.
