Guernsey signs 27 TIEAs but only 16 are in force

OF THE 27 tax information exchange agreements signed by Guernsey only 16 are in force.
Income Tax director Rob Gray (pictured) said that the speed at which other countries completed their internal requirements varied.
Guernsey signed a TIEA with Germany in 2009. It has yet to become active.
But the agreement with Argentina, which was signed in July, will become active as soon as Guernsey completes its internal procedures. That usually takes around two to three months.
