Latvian woman named in Bordage flat death

POLICE have named a 24-year-old woman found dead in a St Peter Port flat on Saturday as Liga Verse.

The Latvian national (pictured) had been living in the island for a number of years.

Her body was found above the Noodle Box in the Bordage at 8.30pm on Saturday and her next of kin have been told of her death.

Officers have been given more time to question a 27-year-old local man, who was arrested in connection with the suspicious death.
