Steven LomaxA PSYCHIATRIST who had sex with a married woman patient on his consulting room floor at the Castel Hospital has been struck off.

The General Medical Council’s fitness to practise panel yesterday decided the sanction Dr Steven Lomax, 64 (pictured), should face.

‘He used his role as a treating psychiatrist to pursue and establish an improper sexual and emotional relationship with Ms A. She trusted Dr Lomax and he betrayed that trust,’ said panel chair Mary Clark-Glass.

Dr Lomax, who worked in Guernsey between 1978 and 1991, has retired from the medical profession and emigrated to France.
