Second post-mortem to be carried out

Photo-Liga-Verse A second post mortem will be carried out on the body of 24-year-old Liga Verse (pictured) as Guernsey Police continue the investigation into her death.

In a press conference this afternoon DI Phil Breban said it was still unclear how the Latvian died.

A 27-year-old man is still being held in custody in relation to the suspicious death, after the court granted the police a second extension to keep questioning him.

A team of officers are working on the case which police describe as a ‘suspicious and, as of yet, unexplained death’.
